Prime Credit Sdn Bhd

Legal & Accountability

Everything about how we operate, protect your data and treat you fairly — written to be read, not skimmed past. Last updated: 1 July 2026.

1. Privacy Statement (PDPA)

Prime Credit Sdn Bhd (“Prime Credit”, “we”) processes your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). This statement explains what we collect, why, and the rights you can exercise at any time.

What we collect

  • Identity data — name, MyKad number and images captured during e-KYC verification.
  • Contact data — mobile number, email address and correspondence address.
  • Financial data — income documents (payslips, EPF/KWSP statements, bank statements), existing commitments and requested loan parameters.
  • Credit data — CCRIS and CTOS reports obtained with your consent during a full application (never during a soft rate check).
  • Technical data — device, browser and usage information collected to keep the service secure.

Your rights under the PDPA

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — have inaccurate or outdated data corrected without charge.
  • Withdraw consent — stop processing for marketing at any time; core lending data is retained as required by law.
  • Limit processing — object to processing likely to cause damage or distress.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest (256-bit), never sold to third parties, and shared only with regulated partners required to deliver your loan — banks for DuitNow disbursement and licensed credit reporting agencies for assessment. Exercise any right by writing to privacy@myprimecredit.com. We respond within 21 days as required by the PDPA.

2. Terms of Use

  • Estimates are not offers. Figures shown by our calculator and rate checker are illustrations; a binding offer is only made in a signed loan agreement after full assessment.
  • Eligibility: Malaysian citizens and permanent residents aged 21–60 with gross income of RM2,000+/month. Both salaried and self-employed applicants are welcome.
  • Accuracy: you are responsible for the truthfulness of the information and documents you submit. False declarations void any offer and may be reported.
  • One rate check is free and unlimited; a full credit check (CCRIS/CTOS) is performed only when you proceed with an application, with your consent.
  • Late payments may incur charges as set out in your loan agreement and will be reflected in your CCRIS record. Borrow only what you can afford.
  • This website's content is provided for general information and does not constitute financial advice.

3. Responsible Lending

We only profit when you repay comfortably — so affordability is the heart of our assessment. Every application is evaluated against your Debt Service Ratio (DSR), verified income and existing commitments, not just your credit score.

  • We will not knowingly lend beyond a DSR that leaves you unable to meet essential living costs.
  • We never charge upfront fees, deposits or 'processing payments' before disbursement — anyone asking for these in our name is a scammer.
  • Plain-language documents: every fee and term appears in your agreement in BM and English before you sign.
  • If you face repayment difficulty, contact us early — restructuring options exist, and we will always refer customers in hardship to AKPK's free debt management programme.
